Port Atheni to Kalamos

Hi

Another short hop today but a very exciting one. Left harbour in reasonable time to head East round the Northern tip of Kalamos Island and the weather turned very ugly.

I was pleased that by the time it hit we were well en route and Kalamos was actually in view.

At one point the boat was more or less spun round by a squall and we heeled over at quite an alarming angle. I managed to drop quite a bit of sail but the genoa reefing gear jammed and I ended up on the foredeck for what seemed like ages until I'd sorted it out.

Anyway, safely in harbour, others seem to have also had an "exciting" time! Wind still very strong, no sign of it dropping.

Pasta on the boat for tea again tonight, lovely jubbly!
