Sunday Training

Hi

Today was supposed to be the team time trial over Carter Bar but in the event the turnout was poor which does not bode well for the future. Ended up with just John, Ian and I, the Raid Pyreneen team back together again. Decided to ride over Billsmoor and The Gibbet instead but John was suffering badly, as it turned out later he had some form of illness coming on and he turned for home part way but would still have put about 70 miles on the clock.

Ian decided to treat me to a ride over "The Ryals" which is a well known and somewhat feared climb in the area. Turned out to be hard but not too bad if you didn't think about it too much, I'm told part of the lower ramp is about 25% which is never going to be fun!

Anyhow, we covered just under 100 miles on a windy day over a very hilly course, the power and other data including data from the ascent of Billsmoor follows, happy with a normalised power of 247W on a 5:35 ride:
