Steady L2 ride with John out to Lowick and back down the coast to Alnmouth before returning via Shilbottle. Weather breezy (NE), cold and for some of the ride at least, raining as usual. Pretty depressing really as it's almost June! Anyway, the ride went just fine and we covered a little over 71 miles in a little under 4.5 hours. That was an average speed of 16.8mph with an average HR in the 120s, a conversation ride. Saw a beautiful deer quite close up as we rode out of Alnwick towards Eglinghan which was smashing. Will start to think about getting plenty of rest now ready for the Polka Dot Challenge in a couple of weeks time, Winnatt's Pass with it's 25% looms!
