Thursday Training

Tried a different method of cooking new potatoes for dinner tonight and very nice they were too. Lightly rubbed the skins with olive oil and then put them on metal skewers then did them in the oven for about 35 minutes and my were they delicious!

Anyway, another ErgVideo session today, rode the South Africa section of the Trinidad & South Africa disc and it was very similar to the first half though with different scenery of course.

As you can see below the VI for the ride was high at 1.28, the sort of VI you would expect from a hilly road race. The ride was filmed with the CSC pro team and what was most notable about it was that it was either very hard or very easy with not much in between.

Felt a bit sorry for the bloke wearing the helmet camera when he was dropped and the bunch cruised gaily off into the distance, not a nice feeling. He had hung on pretty well up until that point but clearly the repeated efforts proved to be to much for him in the end.

Another good session done and CTL still holding up quite well, hoping for another little step up over the weekend, the forecast looks pretty promising.
