Yikes! It's Friday the 13th, better be extra careful today. Got a pretty hard weekend of riding planned which I am looking forward to. John off work today so we decided to go out at 08:00 but there was thick fog so delayed until 09:00 by which time..... there was still thick fog, so we went anyway.
Did the standard Southerly circuit finishing up over Shilbottle and we both felt that we were going pretty well. Pretty steady ride, not too hard, not too easy, and we still averaged almost 18mph for the 46+ miles, happy with that as the average HR for the ride was 135, well inside my HR Z2.
Very interesting experiment climbing Shilbottle, decided to keep HR at or below 150 and found that we went up it just as quickly with far less effort!
Hard ride tomorrow, the "Figure of Eight" horror ride.
