Tuesday Training



My very favourite session, 2x20 @ L4 :-( As usual not comfortable, in fact pretty uncomfortable but it's in the bag. I was pleased today that my HR data was pretty much identical to last week's session even though last week I'd had a rest day before the session and this week I'd done 2x25 @ L3 the evening before. I seem to be coping with things Ok at the moment which is good as this is build week 3 and is, by my standards anyway, a pretty chunky week.

I have a rest day scheduled for tomorrow so that will be nice and it's spaghetti for tea tonight which I love!

Dashed horizontal lines on the graph below mark the upper and lower boundaries of my L4 HR and Power zones.

    Just a quick note to say i've been reading your blog for a few weeks now and really enjoying it and picking up some good training info!
    Only been cycling for 2 months but i've been cramming in the 2x20 sessions and it's good to read what you've been doing for some extra motivation!

    Glad you are getting something from my ramblings. I'm not saying that my approach is right and would suit everyone but it is based on pretty good evidence and I have confidence in what I am doing and that I am making progress.

    Be interested to hear how you get on, above all don't overdo it too soon or your progress will stall badly. If there is one thing that really does matter it is to build slowly and within the limits of your own abilities.
