Good ride with 2 friends covering just over 50 miles in an anti-clockwise loop round Northumberland passing through Longhirst, Widdrington Station, Amble, Warkworth, Acklington, Newton-on-the-Moor, Longframlington, Forestburn Gate and Netherwitton.
Interesting ride, rolling in the first half and then really pretty hilly for the second half, some of the climbs were pretty sharp and we put in some good efforts on them, I could certainly feel this week's L4 work in my legs but seemed to be able to keep pushing on.
This was a good training ride, it was pretty cold and breezy but I clocked up a TSS of 185 with a NP of 253W for the ride which I was pleased with coming at a time when freshness was off the agenda!
Forecast for tomorrow is poor so will almost certainly be confined indoors so CTL build will take a knock, may have to consider getting out on the road more during the week to make sure my build stays on track.
