Stage 2 of the coast to coast to coast ride from Silloth in Cumbria to Alnmouth in Northumberland and what a fantastic day it was. The weather was again kind though somehow we seemed to end up with a headwind in both directions, not ideal!

The ride along the Roman Wall was particularly memorable and it was lovely to arrive at the top of the final rise of the crossing to see the North Sea ahead of us with Alnmouth bathed in afternoon sunshine, the perfect ending.

This has been a fantastic 2 day ride which has rounded off the season superbly, it really couldn't have gone better. If you would like to browse the photographs I took during the trip click here.
