Some steady sweet spot work today just plugging away and maintaining my aerobic fitness I hope. Doing SST work with a load which varies between 88 and 94% is definitely more challenging that isopower training and I am sure more beneficial.
The average wattages for the 2 efforts are exactly the same but the variable nature of them makes them definitely harder. The peak wattage is around 10W higher than during an isopower effort and yet the lower load periods are not low enough to allow significant recovery, interesting.
