Wednesday Training

Hi

VeloTron

This is an adaptation week for me so the only harder work of the week is now done which is nice. What isn't nice is that Mum has ended up very poorly in hospital which is going to make things difficult for a while, flexibility will be required.

Today's L3 session went fine and the lactate reading at the end was interesting as it was higher today at 2.1mmol/l in comparison with the previous reading at the same absolute workload when it was 1.4mmol/l. This is likely to be related to yesterday's higher intensity work and it all serves to provide a pattern of how and why the number vary, often it's retrospectively that all this information proves to be of the greatest value.

Today should have been a good day as the delivery of the new VeloTron computer was scheduled for today but in the end all that arrived from Dell was the audio system for it and nothing else, no CPU, no monitor, deeply unimpressed.

Anyway, I'll just have to plough on and keep as many balls in the air as possible over the next little while.
