Friday Training

2 Training rides today with a gardening session in between and a bit of al fresco cooking, well, sausage frying anyway :-)

It's not hard to work out from the data for the two rides, which followed the same route in opposite directions, which ride had the headwind. I was actually pretty pleased to still average 18mph for the first ride as it was an awful lot more than a light breeze I was riding into.

Gave the Skins C400 shorts and short sleeved top another testing today and found them very comfortable indeed. I particularly like the fact that there is no flapping of any material as you sometimes get with jerseys and which I don't like, quite apart from it being aerodynamically very inefficient, so more than happy with the clothing for the "Leading the Tour" ride.

Actually felt better for the return journey today, I don't think having 3 days of no training does me any good at all and also in spite of the 3 days off my TSB is still down at -22.2. Perfectly happy with the NP of 255W for the return journey taking this very –ve TSB into consideration. This time in 4 weeks I should have completed stage 2 of The Tour and be well on my way :-)
