Had a fantastic day out in London today in perfect weather with Lorena and our twin nieces. Got really cheap rail tickets down from Newcastle by booking a long way in advance and avoided the queues by booking entry to the Tower of London well in advance too. Managed to see the Tower of London in the morning with lunch right next to the original execution site and the moved on to have a really good visit to the British Museum, which I love.
The only sad part of the day was one of the ravens at the Tower of London making off with a rather nice salmon roll I'd been eating, small price to pay I guess ;-)
