I'd been wanting to go and have a look at some of these ancient rock carvings, the so-called Cup and Ring markings for a while. There are a lot of them in Northumberland which was the scene of much activity in ancient times. So, armed with an Ordnance Survey map and a GPS Lorena and I set off to see what we could find.
This video just shows a short sample of our trip, in future I would locate the co-ordinates of a number of "targets" in advance but this was a great little outing. These things fascinate me for some reason, probably because nobody understands them.
