Ok, the flapjack is now all cooked, turned out and cut up. I declare Flapjack II a total success, not too crispy and not too squidgy. The revised recipe made 16 pieces and it's a hell of a lot nicer that the commercially available stuff, I've no idea what goes into that but some of it looks like lard! This is made with high quality butter, organic oats and sultanas, Lyles Golden Syrup and Demerara sugar. I'm not going to bother how many calories per slice there are ;-)
