Started my new recovery regime today, the plan is to walk 5 miles 5 days per week as part of my training programme. I think too much time on a bike, which is a very un-natural form of locomotion, is not a good thing and that it can cause back and other musculo-skeletal problems and injuries.
I think our natural mode of movement, walking, is a good thing to do to rebalance things and to keep other muscle groups active and strong. Over the weeks and months I'll let you know how it's going! Below is this morning's route:
