Smashing ride in Northumberland covering just under 80 miles in about 4.5 hours including stops for main road crossings etc. Hilly route from Morpeth taking in the climbs, including others, of Winter's Gibbet, Billsmoor, Netherton North Side and Lemmington Bank
The weather was cold but the roads were fine and there was no strong wind, pretty much the best we can hope for I guess at the end of December in the UK!
So, a really excellent training ride, I'd not been out on the road for about 6 weeks but have certainly managed to maintain my endurance and general form well by indoor training alone. Looking forward to seeing what the position is after my next FTP test and more importantly after some L5 training in a few month's time.
All very encouraging, map below.
