Saturday Training

Hi

Today was the day of the tandem ride with the Vi-Ability group catering for blind and visually impaired youngsters and giving them the experience of cycling, which many of us take for granted.

We covered about 20 miles and I rode with a little lad called Lewis who was quite a character in his NYC baseball cap! The whole experience was great fun on what was a very windy day. The young people were good fun to be with and clearly really enjoy these outings and the other adults involved were a really nice bunch of people, great atmosphere.

We met up at a farm where the bikes are stored, loaded up and off we went with no great fuss, just really relaxed and enjoyable. Returned to our starting point and ate sandwiches in the van, perfect end to a really nice ride, I'll be doing this again!
