Having done about 25 miles on the tandem earlier today I knew this was going to be a struggle and it was, so I cut the session short. I do not subscribe to the flogging a dead horse school of training and if I feel the quality of my efforts is going to fall off I'm happy to cut a session short as I believe that pushing on just for the sake of it is counter-productive and likely to cause illness or injury.
Anyhow, this was still a very worthwhile session and I got through 2 of my 10 minute efforts at 320W so that was fine. Time enough for more of these, the last thing I want to do is push myself over the edge and end up feeling completely clapped out.
